The Capcapo Property lies about 135km North of Baguio Mining District and about five kms NNE of the Patok Property. Exploration workings in the area show a major gold and copper mineralization belt in the Northwest Luzon of the Cordillera region and believed to be a continuous sub-parallel belts of Quartz Diorite that form the backbone of the Central Cordillera. Volcano-sediments invade the western flank of the extensive body of quartz diorite with the impressions of a breccia pipe. Individual bodies are up to a 90 km long and 15 km wide with the intrusive and mineralized zones being spatially related. It has been explored before but due to its immense size, it still needs further extensive exploration. The area covers 84 parcels of 9-hectare claims forming a rectangular block measuring 2100 meters x 3600 meters, for a total of 756 hectares.
This company property has attracted interest from major international mining companies since the seventies. Among them were Gold Fields Asia Ltd. of Australia, St. Genevieve Resources Ltd. of Canada and more recently Newcrest Exploration Inc. and Newmont Mining both from Australia. |
